Today I’m reviewing the first poetry book I’ve read this year and I am looking forward to reading more from this genre. A Gen eration of Sunflowers , is the first collection of poetry by Ally Loyns. This poetry collection is flushed with many humanly emotions and describes the true meaning of life and relationships; wilting, falling, rooting, rising and blooming. This book is a vibrant journey about loss, growth, healing, honoring one’s roots, and rising up to find a home within yourself. I thought this book was incredible, thus I read it in two sittings. They were a few poems that when I read them, I literally had to pause for a second and process them, because they were so on point and it was like they were meant for me personally.
