My Thoughts
I was incredibly interested in this story since I saw it announced, the next big and popular thriller. Even the very premise itself seemed like the most interesting thing. There were quite a few twists near the middle and end and I honestly didn’t see either coming, so I can give the author credit for those. After the first twist, there was another one and it just left my mind blown, so there is that good part going for the story.
Okay, I really don't want to misrepresent this book: A favor for a favor is a pulpy, fast-paced popcorn thriller. It's not mindblowing or groundbreaking, but it is pageturning goodness. And it was exactly what I needed to get lost in right now.
Overall, however, I just wasn’t particularly sucked into the story, I didn’t really care for the narrator and the twists were the parts of the story that intrigued me the most. I was a big fan of this big thriller debut. So that was my somewhat positive review for this thriller (and thrillers in general!) Let me know what you thought about the twists or if you want to read this book, which I recommend reading.
