This book is pure art. The poems are short, but they leave you pondering upon them for so long that you lose track of time. Tanya shares ideas on difficult topics with kindness and compassion. The concepts found throughout this book will make you stop and think...they will invite self-reflection and self realisation not because the language used is harsh, but because of the softness of tone and the acceptance and understanding Tanya is able to write with. I am impressed at both her tremendous skills as a writer, as well as her resilience as a human being facing all the tough times and sharing her experience with everyone in an artistic way. This is a beautiful book and I am so very proud to have this in my collection. I look forward to reading more work from her in the future. If you want to read someone who writes authentically, from the heart ... with a vulnerability and genuineness hard to match...this is the book for you!
Overall this book is absolutely amazing. Tanya writes in such a way that you feel as if you are a part of her experience. She has opened my eyes to a different way of writing and I’m extremely grateful to have found her on Instagram and get the opportunity to read her work. Each poem is sheer masterpiece! Thank you for blessing us with your book!
I love how powerful many of her poems are. If you're looking for something fantastic to read in poetry, I would recommend this wholeheartedly.
