My Thoughts
The characters are bold and complex in this story of fealty, family, and self. Wonderful worldbuilding, high action, and ruthless shades of science fiction and desire make the tale at turns tragic and truly adventurous... Robert J. Sawyer’s book is forceful, immersive, and unforgettable. 

Breathtaking characterisation and high quality writing all at once. Through The Oppenheimer Alternative Robert J. Sawyer takes us back in time to revisit history…with a twist. And I don't even know where to begin in terms of craft: I've never been in the hands of a writer who is so skilled at prose and plot and characterization. Everything felt perfect, from the poignant character arcs to the similes to the balance of mingled history and science. If you read the other books you pretty much know what to expect in the level of entertainment. A fun quick read involving adventures about the greatest scientific geniuses from the last century racing against time to save our future. 

I'm so grateful to live in an era where this kind of story is possible in mainstream English publishing. I very much enjoy reading alternate history stories and really enjoy the approach the author used to make a passable account. Well done!
