you’re a new—or old—fantasy reader, you might be wondering what the top fantasy books are. It’s a reasonable question. It makes sense to begin with what’s popular if you’re starting out in the genre. Or maybe you’re just curious to see how mainstream your preferences are. Death's Intern (The Intern Diaries Book 1) 
by D. C. Gomez is one of the books I’ve had on my list of Must Read urban Fantasy Books from the day it got published.

It’s my goal to always read diversely and it makes my heart feel whole when I see a cast of characters in a urban Fantasy that are for the mostly all people of color. In Death's Intern we get a diverse cast of characters from different backgrounds. There are no purely good/evil characters in this story. I truly felt connected with many characters. The world building is done amazingly.

I absolutely LOVED D. C. Gomez’s world building! and humour, It never once felt info dumpey. The character development was on point as was the world building which heightens my interest in getting to the next book very soon. I honestly felt like I was watching pieces on a chess board move, wondering what was going to happen next. 

Highly Recommended!
