As death stared back by Ajinkya Bhasme is a work of fiction and horror which will makes you question the existence of supernaturals. 

Sanjana a mother of a teenager Manu both were living together in their house. Life is not at all the same as a single mother after the death of Punit Sanjana's husband. Now Sanjana and Manu both were living normal life, until one day when Sanjana's dead husband Punit comes back to their life after almost a decade.

As story moves Sanjana found out that Punit wants to kill her only son.

But the question is why should a father wants to hurt his only son?

" Sanjana carried Manu and rushed to leave. The pyre swallowed her necklace whole and let out an ominous cry. The log of woods and straw shifted and fell down.

"Keep your eyes closed Manu" said Sanjana running away.

Manu slightly opened his eyes behind her. The logs had fallen and something that seemed like a terribly burnt hand emerged out of the ashes clutching her mangalsutra. Manu gasped as Sanjana heard her husband's voice from behind- "will you not wait for me?"

Plot and Narration

The incidents of the story are wholly absorbing because of the lucid writing style of Ajinkya Bhasme. The horror theme of the story is handled skilfully throughout.

I certainly got chills so many times towards the end of this book. It certainly blew my mind.

A must read for the lovers of horror , mystery , thriller.
