The Elixir : A message to an ailing heart is one such book.
It has experimented with the form. I loved it for the efforts to construct a prose poetry work.
45 poems written over a span of ten years.
Author has amazingly conveyed her message and a tragedy so personal to someone that it looks like this person penned for herself in her dairy. I was touched deeply.
In them which would listen,
In them which would talk,
In them which would smile,
In them which would welcome,

The poems penned down by Hari Priya Saripalli in her book The Elixir shed the light on suspence , love , loss , goals , regrets , nature , hope , integrity , pain , self and more.
Hari Priya's prose , I thought was better in terms of craft of writing.
How do we survive trauma?
In times of crisis, from where do we pull strength and build hope?
Priya projects an amazing narrative.
The Elixir beautifully chronicles the grief and fear of the known and the unknown.
Priya's language creates depth meaning in the unsaid and it's where the Elixir really shines.

The Elixir: A message to an ailing heart is simply a gift , a gift to our sences and gifts are to be shared. So, I recommend this book to the lovers of poetry.
