Synopsis

After watching her mother die fighting to protect her, Dani and her caretaker Kaitlin, now, only have each other. Dani must train her 4-year old mind to call forth powers that normally she wouldn’t have for another decade, while Kaitlin searches for the fortitude to force the child to develop even faster. Straining to stay one step ahead of The Council Warlocks and never knowing the whereabouts of the deadly Talisman, this child will never get to be a little girl. Instead, Dani must learn to both fight and kill if she is to survive, and, as the years pass, the memory of the life she once had will fades and the love she once held will be replaced with hate.Meanwhile, Jean Laveau’s body remains comatose inside of Hagatha’s cave, while his mind is doomed to be tortured by her evil ‘whisperings.’ His only refuge from her relentless attack on his sanity as she tries to consume his soul, is to hide within his dreams. While there, he drifts back to the day he and Kaitlin first met and how she was abruptly thrust into the world of demons and malafecs. Oblivious to time, he retraces their courtship, how they fell in love, and all of the magical moments before that dreadful, summer’s night when both their lives were forever changed; the night Jean first encountered a witch.Book two of The Wiccan Chronicles tells the tragic story of two damaged souls - one charging carelessly toward her foretold future, with the other spinning blindly in his not so pristine past. Their only chance is to save each other, by shining a light into the darkness of “The Midnight Man”.

My Thoughts

Hi. Hello! Me again, with another book you should consider picking up, if you haven't yet read this gift to the world. The Midnight Man is a true gem of horror literature.

The Midnight Man is the second book of series The Wiccan Chronicles a novel I loved just as much as the first, if in a completely different way. This is not a book for the faint of heart. This novel is far darker than its predecessor. There is more bleakness here, and perhaps this isn’t to the tastes of some readers–but despite the tragedy, hope remains. I highly recommend both novels in the series. Again, one of my favorite reads of the year.

I loved the first book so much that I immediately combed all my local bookstores for The Midnight Man. Needless to say, I’m a huge fan.

Best read on a cold, windy night when you are home alone and there is the slight possibility that you may lose power. Candles burning are a must for this one!
I'm not sure what to say in this review. I was blown away by how great this book was.
Read it!
Read it now!!
