Synopsis

My Thoughts
It is not so much that The seeds of Deception, is particularly moving (although it is). It isn’t even so much that it is written with language that is both delicate and sturdy all at once (which it is, as well). And it’s certainly not that Arlene L Walker's vision filled passages are so precise that you begin to feel all the event's happening in front of your eyes (even though they are).
It’s a great book and I couldn’t stop reading it, but I didn’t want it to end either! As you read, you share McClendon's emotional journey through hope, despair, exhaustion, loneliness and joy.
Seeds of Deception is a multileveled exploration of the beautiful mysteries that light up our lives full of twists and have no rhyme nor reason of their own. Yet without them, we would be nothing more than wonder-deprived creatures.
Read this book. Not because it is an exceptional piece of literary talent. It is, of course. But there are many good authors and many good books. While uncommon, they are not endangered. Read this book because in recent memory - aside from some books – there have been no stories which make such grand statements with such few elements.
