Synopsis
This Book tells the Story of Season the little Schmetterpillar that lives in the Forest of Life. If you wonder what a Schmetterpillar is, it is always good to wonder. A Schmetterpillar is a Caterpillar with a very special way of finding its adult form. Instead of becoming a Butterfly via metamorphosis, a Schmetterpillar has a unique way of transforming. Wanna find out what it is? Yes? Then come and join this journey together with me and all the other friends of the Forest of Life.

My Thoughts
This is a beautifully illustrated book describing the life of a caterpillar named Schmetterpillar and Schmetterpillar's journey and Schmetterpillar's unique transformation. My kindergarten students have been able to absorb accurate information and they enjoy "reading" this book to the younger students in our mixed-age Montessori classroom.

The author and illustrator team for this book, have put together a most valuable volume for teaching beginning science and for childrens reports. The text and digital pictures are clear and concis --Children's Literature Comprehensive Database

Very informative and a lot of detail. Very up to date as far as pictures and colors . I used this in conjunction with the Insect Lore butterfly caterpillars that you send away for. I used this book for understanding a life cycle. We all enjoyed it and learned many new facts that many books leave out! It was the perfect level for my students!

I highly recommend this book!
