Synopsis
Found Pieces is a poetry book that explores coming of age, grief, identity, and the harsh truths of adulthood. The fifty-poem collection is separated by two ‘chapters’ What Was Left and What Was Found. Focusing on the low points of life where depression and anxiety take over and the moments of triumph where love overcomes those obstacles. How relationships are tested and impacted when it comes to questions of identity. The whirlwind of finding oneself through exploring and understanding ones sexuality. Ultimately learning to come to terms with the different pieces of identity that make each of us beautiful. Ultimately where that power and acceptance may take us. *Trigger Warning: this work covers topics of depression and anxiety. It also has discussions of coming out , which may also be a triggering topic to some folks.

My Thoughts
Ah, love. Depending on who you ask, it's a many-splendored thing or it's all you need — and sometimes it's even a battlefield. But regardless of how you define it, love can often be hard to express or put into words. And those low points in life , anyone who has suffered from depression and anxiety will tell you that one of the hardest aspects is feeling isolated. Let’s face it: most people don’t have a good conception of what is connection between love , depression and anxiety.

Relationships come in many forms. Learn more about your true identity and the different attractions and relationships people can have.
Understanding and exploring ones sexuality , it covers a broad spectrum, and is also deeply personal. It’s about understanding the sexual feelings and attractions we feel towards others.

Almeida’s poetry hits gut-deep, with mesmerizing lines that spin imagery full of despair, longing, and a need that is, at times, feral. Her words grasp the universal pain of longing, but tackle it with a unique and unabashed queer perspective. With dark, stirring lines. This fifty poem collection is a harrowing and urgent look at alienation and pain. Her collection walks the curving path between loss and recovery, love and anxiety , your true identity and calling on feminine literary voices.

Elizabeth Almeida’s work encompasses the bittersweet beauty of life, and displays a humble reverence for one’s fleeting time on earth. She aims right for the heart with bone-shakingly honest lines. However, her work pushes readers towards hope and progress, capping the collection off with a plea to live, heal, and hope.

A must read Elizabeth Almeida Has set New standard With this book.
