Synopsis
HARINI boarded a flight to a far-away country that has a high reported rate of domestic violence. Simultaneously, nine other women from different parts of the US boarded their flights to the same destination. When Fair Anita, a fair-trade jewelry brand invited applications for a trip to travel with the founder, and meet twelve of the eight thousand artisan women partners, she immediately signed up. She was determined to go on this journey, though that meant dealing with her own inner traumas. Little did she know that this trip and the women she would meet there would become an integral part of healing and for believing in herself. As she came back home to a new world that had forever changed from COVID-19, she wondered if she was also already changed from her old self.

BEADS THAT LEAD is an account of reflection and self-discovery of an ordinary girl with extraordinary questions about life. A tale of loss, grief, pain, and hope. This book is a recollection of her journey to the far away land and an attempt to discover answers along the way. Harini has crafted a memoir that gets to the heart of what it means to be a woman in today’s world; the shift in perspectives for an equal world and the answer to an evergreen question we ask ourselves, “What can I do about it?”

My Thoughts
For the longest time, I had no idea what it meant to be a true woman. What is femininity? Why does it matter? What does it mean to live out real, true womanhood? Before we can answer this question, we must understand why we were created uniquely woman. We must understand the purpose of any of God’s creation. Beads that lead is an an extraordinary book of reflection and self-discovery of an ordinary girl with deep rooted questions about life.
What does being a woman today mean to you?
Who we are supposed to be as a women, live how we are supposed to live and say and do all the right things to satisfy all the boundaries this world has set for us.

Through beads that lead Harini discover the the answers to all the deep rooted questions. This journey is an attempt of author to discover answers along the way. I enjoyed this book tremendously it proved to me that many others are struggling and finally we have Harini to open up and tell us through her journey , what’s going on inside and out. I hope and pray that everyone will get to learn something through this thought provoking journey of self reflection and stop being ignorant of others feelings.

I must say Harini can write so naturally that reading this book is more like having a discussion between yourself and the author over a cup of tea. Harini will teach you how she has evaluated her life, learned to live with herself and become a better person all from of her life lessons. You can do this too. I found out that I don't have to live my life smashing through one wall to the next. This is such a beautiful book, Harini is a beautiful writer and through her journey you can learn to be beautiful, too.

Harini's fresh, honest approach to her story will resonate with anyone who has sought to understand his or her deepest self.
Inspirational, meaningful and truely heart warming memoir of self reflection and Realisation.
Highly Recommended!
