Synopsis
From rupture to rapture, from agony to ecstasy, from bleeding to healing, love is the alchemy of revolution and transformation. It is a song, a dance, a celebration and a creation. It is not a unique subject, but a subject so universal, that it defines our very existence. In her debut collection of poems, Shilpa does not attempt to define love as she believes that it is mysterious and mercurial. But having experienced the falling and rising herself, this book is a catharsis of her emotions, processed with a lot of love. The poems in this book reinforce that even though love is an uphill task, it is intrinsic and beautiful, and that every emotion it elicits – pain, anguish, anticipation, joy and passion – is so worth living, at least once in a lifetime. Shilpa makes you dive into them, feel them and live them through her voyage. Her verses signify that pain is inevitable, but combating it, rising beyond it and upholding faith in love is certainly a choice. Through her sometimes heart-warming and sometimes heart-wrenching verses, she urges you not just to heal yourself, but also to rediscover your soul and its calling. The book conveys that love may or may not stay forever, but it leaves a blessing that stays with you, till eternity. Embrace it.

My Thoughts
love.feel.pain.heal.repeat - poems of love, hope, passion, rupture and healing written by Shilpa. Containing a collection of poems by the author that, not only investigates the lighter side of love, but also dares to delve deeper, taking the reader on a journey into the healing aspects of love, such as pain, anguish, anticipation, joy , passion, rejection, fear, betrayal, loss and finally love. The author writes emotionally, and from the heart, often resulting in poems that bring a tear to the eye.

The concepts found throughout this book will make you stop and think...they will invite self-reflection not because the language used is full of love and compassion, but because of the softness of tone and the acceptance and understanding Shilpa is able to write with. I am impressed at both her tremendous skills as a writer, as well as his resilience as a human being with the understanding of deep humanly emotions. This is a beautiful book and I am so very proud to have this in my collection.

I give an extra star to any author who writes from his heart without pretense, without trying to be literary or fancy. We have poets all over the place and through the centuries who've written poetry which isn't accessible except to the literati. This author's poems are usually easy to understand. This book of poems penned with beautiful words is totally worthy of five stars. It has really deep scars which I could feel while reading. And it's just a dig into love and healing. So I would recommend this to anyone who likes reading emotional and spiritual pieces.

I love how powerful many of his poems are. If you're looking for something fantastic to read in poetry, I would recommend this wholeheartedly.

Highly Recommended!
