People have been waiting years for Chris Cicchinelli to share his leadership secrets. Now he has, and they are utterly brilliant. The Secret is YOU: How I Empowered 250,000 Women to Find Their Passion and Change Their Lives is not merely a memoir; it’s a personal, Long hours on the road and a restyled business model and a playbook for handling the key challenges of our age: how to drive change, leverage technology, build an enduring culture, and empower people. It’s a rippingly good, revelatory read. Chris Cicchinelli has not only lived up to all the employees and people who believed in him and his idea but has moved the Pure Romance brand far beyond anyone’s expectations, and he has done it with grace and audacity. This book shows you how that’s happened.
Such books dont come along very often. Chris Cicchinelli is a business legend after his performance as CEO of Pure Romance the world’s largest in-home/virtual party company of its kind and it was incredible reading about his rise from being at crossroads when he had just been forced to leave a promising position at a large retail franchise when his mother, Patty Brisben, called, to the CEO of the world’s largest in-home/virtual party company. The book is insightful and theres a lot to learn from the experiences shared by Chris Cicchinelli. The only complain I would have from this book is that it was a little too brief at times and could have been more detailed. I felt under 290 pages did not do complete justice to his legendary career. Having said that, its still one of the best books I've read in a long time.
A five star read for me.
