Synopsis
Manu, a commonplace young boy who lived a life just like you and I. He loved to learn the secrets from our ancient scriptures and books. He tried to learn more about the meaning of life and existence. Manu’s life changes one day when a character from Mahabharata appears in front of him in person, with an invitation to visit a secret place. To an ancient lost city. The invitation is brought by this cursed and forgotten character. But for what purpose? Later Manu is going to witness a divine event. All holy books surely have a mention of that catastrophic event. The mention of Kalki avatar and the world coming to an end. However, another interpretation of the Kalki avatar is “truth and secrets revealed”. Now the time has come for Kalki avatar to take place and to realize the ultimate truth.

My Thoughts
Indian fantasy fiction blended with mythology and sci-fi has come into its own in the recent past. More and more authors are beginning to write in this genre and readership is steadily increasing. Manu by Darshan Desale is an amazing blend of mythology with science fiction and fantasy , what an amazing combination I must say. The entire book is fantastical but deeply engaging at the same time, referencing great Indian epics such as Mahabharata, and even going into ultimate truth of life.

Darshan Desale has the rarest gift of conjuring and weaving complex narratives, that is unparalled. Dan Brown looks pale in comparison. I am hooked to this author... Darshan Desale. His writing skills are so mature, does not eave anything to whims, brings up the plot. Rather multiple plots simultaneously - weaving them together. And the way he describes every minute aspect, takes you in that wonderland he is writing about. Describes the individuals and scenes so very well, that the book should be read once for the story, and then again for immersing in the narrative. amazing writing skills. Wish he writes many many more books. Best author I've ever read - better than any indian or foreign authors.

Manu is a compelling tale, marked by meticulous plotting and artful storytelling―a page-turner sure to grip you from start to finish.

Highly Recommended!
