Synopsis
How far will Robin go to have the love she always wanted?
Dangling on the edge of a failing marriage, Robin Morgan had always hoped to forge a stronger connection with her husband. The birth of their daughter, Lyndsey, was supposed to pull Robin and Chirs closer together. Still, Chris fell deeper into the toxic realms overwork and alcohol, while Robin's newfound friendship with the local oracle, Mozelle, became her chosen escape.
A deadly collision of fates...
With Lyndsey's future hanging in the balance, Robin heeds Mozelle's psychic guidance and fights to preserve what little is left of her marriage. However, after a terrible accident leads Robin to uncover an awful truth brewing inside her, she runs out of steam, and her entire life comes crumbling down. With the uncertainty of time remaining, Robin finds herself becoming more and more enamored with her caretaker, Wade Kenton, no matter how hard she tries to fight it.
Love blossoms as the clock ticks...
Anguish clenches Robin's core as she accepts the brutal reality of finding her soulmate at the worst possible time, and Mozelle decides to offer her suffering friend a mystical recourse. But even if Robin's quest for love can find new favor in her next life, no amount of magic can allay the instinct of a jealous husband.
Between love and desperation, choices will be made. But will the price of those choices rewrite all their fates?
My Thoughts
I was recommended this book by one of my friends and whilst I was a bit hesitant after reading the blurb – a lot of angst it seemed to be, and the title was pretty amazing – and it actually turned out to be even more wonderful.
The Star Beyond the Water by Jaycee Anderson is an Amazing journey of Robin who is dangling on the edge of a failing marriage, Robin Morgan had always hoped to forge a stronger connection with her husband. The birth of their daughter, Lyndsey, was supposed to pull Robin and Chirs closer together a question arises.
How far will Robin go to have the love she always wanted?
What shocked me the most, however, was how much I ended up liking the Robin when all was said and done. I wasn't prepared for how redeemable her character became by the end of the book. The Star Beyond the Water was quite a heartbreaking and emotional story and I was totally drawn into the story. The fact that it takes place over a period of time and not over a day or two made it more real and believable. And what a sweet and lovely epilogue. Oh, have I mentioned that I loved the settings in the story???
I thought the writing of the settings and characters was extremely well-done.
That ending was not what I was excepting and it left me wanting more. I recommend this story to those looking for a good literature. I am definitely going to check out more books by Jaycee Anderson.
Highly Recommended!
