Synopsis

My Thoughts
I'm sure most fans have read all of this authors works, or most of them, but I am reviewing this as someone who has started with this book. I have read most of her works but not all.
I really like this book. The author has thrown in some elements from her detective universe, but the characters and the story still stand alone. The storyline is fun and engaging, and if you liked the first one then you will definitely like this.

Overall plot kept me engaged, I couldn't put it down.
I am worried the author will dive to far into the rest of her universe in the next book, but I will still buy it and see if I'm proven wrong.
To be honest, I love anything this author writes. It's always top-notch, very very few editing issues, and the stories are always good. The author spends a great deal of time building worlds that have depth, rather than completely focusing on just one or two characters and making them cut-outs. And while each of the author's books certainly can stand alone as great stories... if you take them all together an incredibly rich universe with intersecting plots and characters emerges.
At this point I assume the author has one of those "Pan’s trap…" with notes and red yarn connecting hundreds of pictures and notes to keep track of everything.
Good stuff. Looking forward to the next book!
