In The Apothecary: A Poetry Collection for Thinkers & Feelers, Calliope Orpheus explores concepts like authenticity, surrender, resilience, gratitude, challenges of life and standing on the edge of life , believing in yourself, and of course, love, through this amazing collection of poems each dedicated to a central theme. Combined, the poems electrify your mind, body and soul and inspire all of us to embrace all parts of ourselves.

This empowering book will not only engage you to think and feel, but will encourage self-reflection, make you feel seen, empower you to love yourself, and inspire you to seek out the hope and beauty in the world… and in yourself. It’s the perfect gift to yourself or someone you love. 

I didn't realize how much I would benefit from having this book as a part of my daily life. With everything going on right now, let's be honest, life is freaking hard! It's easier than ever to get consumed by dread, doubt, uncertainty, fear... especially being cooped up all day at home, and having less room to connect with myself because I'm jumping from zoom to zoom to zoom.

It's not something I plan to devour overnight but something I plan to weave into my daily life. Thank you, Melody, for sharing your heart and brain with us, the outcome is wonderful food for the soul, and is needed now more than ever.
