Synopsis
The Land of Ataraxia: Genesis follows Captain Magellan and his crew into the land of Ataraxia; a magical world created by Primordials and Ancients where their path crosses with the Neoma siblings.. Along with the siblings arises suspicion, manipulation and threat to the realms of Ataraxia.
This book takes you on a journey of a man’s moral dilemma, his quest to discover the thin line between what is politically right or wrong and about how being different isn’t a reason to be shunned.
My Thoughts
The Land of Ataraxia Genesis is a wondrous, genre-defying book, but if it had to fit somewhere, 'fantasy' would be the label we'd give it. The less you know about The Land of Ataraxia Genesis , the better, but as a taster.
This is a novel of exceptional beauty ... The cliché that this book is hard to put down is for once true; I can think of few recent books that keep the reader so passionately hungry to know what happens next and to understand the hints and guesses that appear in greater and greater profusion ... There is at the heart of her writing a rare capacity for the immediate: the stripped, wide-eyed descriptive simplicity of someone who, like her The Land of Ataraxia Genesis, has gone through some sort of barrier and brought back news.
The Land of Ataraxia astonished me. It is a miraculous and luminous feat of storytelling, at once a gripping mystery, an adventure through a brilliant new fantasy world, and a deep meditation on the human condition: feeling lost, and being found. I already want to be back in its interesting and beautiful halls!
A book that's deliciously weird but meticulously constructed to achieve maximum fantasy. Author does magic with her amazing storytelling, plotline and deep rooted character building.
