Synopsis
On her first day of junior year of high school, Lay is friendless. She plans to stay in her car each day during lunch until she finds herself in a conversation about music with two of her classmates. Their connection quickly develops into a friendship that will impact her growth in many ways.

My Thoughts
Today's teens face mounting pressures and expectations from school, society, and yes, even parents. In fact, their stress levels are on par with those of adults, according to the American Psychological Association. The right book has the potential to change your teenagers life. A Most Important Year: A Short Novel by J. Aleon is an amazing story about the ups and downs of a teenager, understanding relationships, friendship, mental health and expectations. I must say that most adolescent will appreciate this books information and remember their own teen years with joy and some sadness.
The writing is easy-to-understand, thoughtful and intelligent. This is a great tool for every girl and a boy trying to make their way through their teens and even their early 20's. J. Aleon covers a wide variety of topics such as: self esteem; dealing with fears; relationships with friends and family. I am in love with this book, it talks about so many confusions of a teen, and also helps to build a better understanding.
This book had the correct and apt format and the writings were neat and to the point. A really good read! i would recommend anyone to read this book for a different perspective on teens and their lives.
