Synopsis
Roxana D. is a parathlete, a model, and a fierce advocate. "Jungle of the Soul" is her memoir which provides a raw, unedited look into her life. It starts with her dirt poor beginnings in Romania to the traumatic events she's faced and follows her journey of self-discovery after a tragic accident left her paralyzed from the waist down.

"Jungle of the Soul" is not a story for the faint of heart. Roxana's honesty about her childhood and abusive relationships will hit you like a punch, forcing you to re-assess your priorities and your worldview. It opens your eyes to the many challenges that women and people with disabilities face. Roxana's story challenges stereotypes and tells the truth behind the life of someone who suddenly becomes dependent on a wheelchair.

"Jungle of the Soul" takes us along on Roxana's journey of healing and self-acceptance. Her story is for anyone who wants to change their outlook on life and be inspired to chase their dreams. It is also for those who want insight into challenges of living with a disability.

This book is a valuable tool for those struggling with depressive thoughts and feel a lack of self-worth. It provides the keys to how one can overcome depression and live a happier and more full life.

My Thoughts
You’ve heard it before and have probably uttered the words wistfully yourself: “So many books, so little time….” A good book can be like a cozy, warm blanket on a fall or winter day, providing comfort to its reader. A good book can also transmit ideas so electrifying that it can move people into action and power movements. In the words of award-winning author, John Green, “Great books help you understand, and they help you to feel understood.” There are many great books, both fiction and non-fiction, that are available out there that addresses or touches on disabilities, accessibility and inclusion. Jungle of the Soul: A Memoir by Roxana D. is one of those amazing books and we encourage you to seek books like this. Jungle of the Soul: A Memoir
Is a book to help widen personal perspectives and stimulate creative approaches to living with a spinal cord injury.

A great writer with an contagiously uplifting spirit. I'm definitely recommending this to all my family and friends. This is an amazing book to read. Roxana interweaves much needed advice on the life of people with disabilities. She gives so many example about how she navigates life while having great adventures. Best book I have read in a long time.

Overall, I very much enjoyed the book, and it is well worth reading even if you are unfamiliar with Roxana D. Splendid. Do yourself a favour and read this book.

Highly Recommended!
