Synopsis
Grolar:
halb grizzly bear, half polar bear
Jon lost his job in Vancouver and finds work at a small gold mining camp. His wife and his young son join him. When the toddler shows them what he had found near the tree line, they know, there is something dark waiting for them.

From mystery books to fantasy books and true crime books, there are plenty of great reads to keep you on your toes. But there is nothing quite like a good scary book to keep you up at night. Whether you’re a horror fanatic or jumping into the genre for the first time, Grolar
by Thorsten Nesch is among the best horror books, the perfect read for you. Spooky, creepy and downright disturbing, this novel is not for the faint of heart. This one stick with you long after you've turned the last page, often because it play right into our deepest fears as humans. While many of us might think of thriller and horror books as one and the same, they're siblings, not twins and it includes both. So many other novels come to mind, after having read this one, but it wasn't what I was expecting and that turned out to be a great thing. This story raised the hair up on my arms and neck. Twins are very intriguing, to say the very least, and what these two get themselves into, one could not possibly fathom.
It is perhaps unfair and a little inaccurate to typecast Grolar as a horror story. It is so ingenious and well-written. Rarely have such commonplace surroundings been made to seem quite so dark and menacing and chillingly flushed with thrill.
