Synopsis
Those who do not own their life, end up getting owned by someone else.

Nisha looked forward to a life filled with dreams coming true, until one day, her immigrant parents get killed in a car crash and she’s left orphaned at ten in Vancouver, Canada.

With no friends or relatives who can take her in, she is put through one foster home after another, facing abuse, until all she is left with is a will to survive and the undying love and loyalty of her only friend, Carol.

Toughened by the unending trauma and no real future to look forward to, Nisha grows up into a fiercely determined and headstrong woman who makes it her life’s purpose to avenge the murder of her parents by destroying the man who killed them and ended her dreams. Does she succeed? What is the cost of her revenge?

Will Nisha be able to live the life she dreamt of?

Will she know love and happiness in the shadow of revenge?
A daring debut novel by Sonal Bawa Bakshi, “What Comes From Within” is a thrilling ride from start to finish.

A plot that fills you with nervous excitement, an unpredictable bold character and a twist in every chapter – this book has it all – Love, Passion, Revenge, Betrayal and Survival. The best modern revenge thriller you can lay your hands on this year.

My Thoughts
When life tries to define you with its hardship, you gotta push back, look it straight in the eye and say, 'No matter what life throws at me, I'm going to keep telling myself that I will overcome.' And every time you own that truth, you write your own life script. As author says through this book Those who do not own their life, end up getting owned by someone else.

This is my first book by Sonal Bawa Bakshi but I have a feeling that I will be going to get through her backlist as soon as possible. While the plot in the book was delightful; the suspense had me biting my nails at the twists and turns – but it was the actions of the characters that got on my nerves; AGAIN and AGAIN! I honestly wanted to scream (and I did; internally!) for them to NOT do the exact thing that was going to get them killed; yet they went ahead and did it anyways.

ONE, I could understand; TWO was stretching it; but gosh darn it – even knowing that the threat was real, the characters acted cocky, which exasperated me to no end!  The plot though had me guessing and to be honest, not many thrillers are able to do so – and this is the exact reason why it got the rating it did!

This book was crazy tense! I was hooked from start to finish and left wanting more. Please be more!! All the characters were fantastic. I cannot rave about this book enough, I highly recommend this to everyone.
