Dace, the fancy and alluring debonair singer, has come to Rio. After years of separation, fate has fancied his and Jonny's presence together once again. Will they be up for the reunion? Will these diverse boys find what they’re looking for? Walking past the insecurities that your heart might have, and finding everything you love in the world through a person's eyes.
In Jonathan Ulysse's stunning debut, Diamond Dreams, we meet Jonny Magnus - a striking twenty-something year old, disillusioned with love. As he roams from one place to another, he cherishes what little happiness awaits him. Unaware of the allure that Rio has, Jonny is reintroduced to the literal man of his dreams, Dace Diamond. As Dace and Jonny get to know each other better, the walls they have built around them crumble, and the two men find themselves falling in passionate, overwhelming love. Intermingled with the tale of their love is the dream landscape they share and the adventures they've had together while asleep. How will their destinies intertwine? Will their love endure? Or will it just be another dream left unfulfilled?
An LGBTQ romance that will make you feel. A passionate story that allows you to explore. It's about the love you can feel, and the love that many people have hidden. A love story that makes love free by depicting all the glamour that love has, no matter who you feel it for. This epic romantic novella tells the story of two madly in love guys, and what happens after that love is found.
My Thoughts
Jonathan Ulysse writes with ruthless honesty, displaying an innate understanding of human emotion and creating characters and relationships so real I’m finding it impossible to let them go. After I Do is a raw, unflinching exploration of the realities of marriage, the delicate nature of love, and the enduring strength of family. Simultaneously funny and sad, heartbreaking and hopeful, Jonathan Ulysse has crafted a story of love and all humanly emotions that is as timely as it is timeless.
All the characters are realistic. (Thanks to the author for not overdoing it) Both characters are intertwined but also different. I just love when a character is NOT perfect. Characters makes mistakes and takes choices and chances. This is a brilliantly penned story. I just love the way the story has evolved. It is so fresh and beautiful. I can't say much as I don't want to give spoilers but just know that this is a very gripping story. This well crafted story has given me a whole new experience. Go read it already and you'll not regret it. I highly recommend it because it made me see Indian women in a completely different light. Sometimes, even when you know something, it doesn't register properly.
Moving, gorgeous and, at times, heart-wrenching. Jonathan Ulysse writes with wit and true emotion that you can feel. Read it, savor it, share it.
Highly Recommended!
