Synopsis
Jane’s nightmares are back—and this time, they’ve unleashed a brutal killer.

Jane Walker’s nightmares aren’t imaginary—they’re glimpses into the traumatic past; and the past can be dangerous, especially now that Jane’s protective birthmarks are gone.

Worse, she’s no longer invisible within her dreams—and learns this the hard way while using her power to incriminate a ruthless killer. Inadvertently revealing her ghost form, she launches him on a relentless hunt to track her down.

Even more disturbing, Jane knows this man. She once tried to use her power to save him from injury, but instead set him on a path of violent crime. Now, he’s targeted the man she loves, and Jane must keep one step ahead of this cold-blooded assassin before he gets rid of Ethan permanently.

Jane has one last chance to fix the mistake that altered this man’s history, but that means taking her most dangerous dream journey yet—one from which she might never awaken.

My Thoughts
If you think about it, “paranormal” and “romance” really go hand in hand: both involve concepts beyond the realm of pure scientific explanation. So it makes sense that “paranormal romance," a speculative genre that explores affairs of the heart, has shot an arrow straight through readers’ hearts and seen a major boom in popularity lately.

Ghost Mark (Dark Dreams Book 2)
by JP McLean is that rare paranormal romance novel that manages to be as intelligent as it is romantic. And it is horrifying fiction that those of us who usually prefer to stay grounded in reality can get caught up in. Pardon the pun, but storyline is truly spellbinding.

McLean works her own form of literary alchemy by deftly blending fantasy, romance, interesting characters, and horror into one completely paranoid book. All her characters are fully fleshed and unique, which, when combined with the complex and engaging plot, results in one of the better fantasy debuts in recent months. The contemporary setting should help draw a large crossover audience.

Delightfully well-crafted and enchantingly imaginative . . . It has some of the same ineluctable atmosphere that made JP McLean’s paranormal romance books such a popular success.

Highly Recommended!
