The Gudem Experiment

By Vadhan Bommadevara

Synopsis
Many Realities. One Unbreakable Mother. An Impossible Choice.

It is the year 2015.

Quantum Physicist Sheila Pitambar is trapped between conflicting realities.

She is labelled insane because she believes her daughter, Diya, was conceived in an erased reality and is born in this reality for a purpose. To save the world.

In the erased reality, a pregnant Sheila had defeated an ancient cosmic evil, in the bargain losing the man she loved. Now the evil is clawing its way back into this world.

Isolated and cast aside, Sheila faces an impossible choice.
Save her daughter.
Save the world.
Choose one.

As if by the hand of destiny, Sheila comes across others who had faced the evil in the erased reality.

They believe the world will end unless Sheila allies with the man they call the extraordinary cripple. After all, he is the key to the Gudem Experiment.

But then, he died in 1971.

My Thoughts
The Gudem Experiment by Vadhan Bommadevara sounds like a fascinating collision of quantum physics, ancient Indian mythology, and the mysteries of alternate realities. At its heart is Sheila Pitambar, a mother caught between two impossible choices: saving her daughter or saving the world.

What makes this story especially compelling is the emotional weight behind its extraordinary premise. Sheila's belief that her daughter was born for a purpose in a reality that no longer exists places her in a heartbreaking position, where love, loss, and destiny become impossible to separate.

The mystery deepens with the return of an ancient cosmic evil and the involvement of a man who holds the key to the Gudem Experiment, despite having died decades earlier. Blending science, Hindu mythology, supernatural elements, and family secrets, the novel promises a layered journey through realities where the past may be erased, but its consequences refuse to disappear.

A thought-provoking fantasy about a mother's love, impossible sacrifices, and the terrifying possibility that saving the world might mean losing the one person who matters most.
