My Thoughts
As a soul-curious parent, I long for my kids to get imaginative and grow their curiosity faster than I did. And so, each night, when we go to pick the evening’s reads I’m always searching for the book that will leave them full of wonder, curiosity and belief that where we live really is a magical place and who they are is exactly who they can feel empowered to be.
I own hundreds of kids’ books. With three littles under 6 years old, I read, a lot. I must say The Little Girl in the Moon - Moxie & Tycho Town by Diann Floyd Boehm is among my favorite children books that inspire and empower everyone who reads them. I’ll say read this one because your child will going to get lost in its amazing illustrations and amazing characters very easily and are going to enjoy each moment.
I selfishly prefer books that don’t put me to sleep… which can be a challenge, let’s be honest, so I searched for those that remind my own spirit of the possibility in the world and instill wonder and awe in life itself into my kids. The Little Girl in the Moon is one of those must read book for every child.
You just never know how one book can give a child the hope, inspiration , artistic imagination or foundation they need to become exactly who it is they’re meant to be.
Happy reading. Happy gifting.
