My Ratings 4.5/5

Synopsis
Bad Deal for America explores the high-stakes game U. S. politicians are playing with the taxpayers’ money. The major players, themselves like a deck of cards, have shown us in their own words that the political system is broken. Readers can follow the money to see how some have lived high on the hog while masquerading as public servants. Told in an entertaining and unique way, this book is a call to arms to fulfill the ideals of the founding fathers by holding the political class responsible.

My Thoughts
I wasn’t always a politics junkie, but over the last fifteen years, I’ve definitely become totally addicted to following politics and current affairs. During that time, and especially during the last ten years, sweeping changes have affected America. In an era where the news cycle is measured in hours, not days or weeks, it can be challenging to keep up to date on the underlying issues that have shaped American political history past and present. Bad Deal for America is an epic must-read book about American politics explores topics from a broad range of voices and perspectives, from balance of research and study that went into the campaign finance system and the money earned and spent by the political machine, parties to polling, and tribalism to globalism. This best book should help you get up to speed with American politics.

While I certainly didn't agree with everything, this was a highly researched, heavily documented treatise on the current situation and problems of amarican politics. One of the things I had trouble with was the optimism that, after decades of coming to this, there is possibility for change.

This book is a fantastic read and lays out countless compelling arguments. This would make a great gift for anyone interested in amarican politics.

Highly Recommended!
